On behalf of the School Board, PTA and faculty and staff may I wish you a Happy New Year! I trust that everyone had a great Winter Break.

Practices for the Chinese New Year Celebration performances have started and all the students are involved in this. Teachers are busy preparing report cards for the second quarter, which finishes on Friday, January 20. The work the students do this week and next week still affects the reports. Please remind your children to do their best, as always.

FAMLIES POSSIBLY LEAVING
It is normal at this time of the year that some families will leave the school because of employment contracts ending. The school would appreciate being informed of this as soon as possible. This allows time to organize the necessary clearance forms for the students concerned. Also, this information helps the school when we get new applications. We need to know exactly what the student number situation is at each grade level. A few grade levels are very close to being full and naturally we want to be sure of the places we are offering to new families. Parents may call the office on 86869999 to inform the school if you are leaving.
Report cards are due to be issued on Wednesday, February 1. Please understand we cannot issue the report cards before the due date. Of course we will email or send hard copies of the reports to you as soon as the cards are issued. If you are leaving school it is important that you leave a forwarding address or new email address with the school.
We appreciate that you may need report cards to help enroll at a new school. The first quarter cards should be sufficient to do this in the short term and these can be reissued if families need them to be. Please contact the school office on 86869999 to make this request. Thank you.

Scrambler: A scrambler is a program that chops up an image and scrambles up the pieces (this requires the java plugin). The object of the game is to swap 2 pieces at a time until all pieces end up in position to form the completed picture. These scramblers all come with a 4 minute timer. Can you beat the clock?
