AIAN English Summer School

AIAN ESL Summer School is for students entering Grades 6 ¨C 12 in September ¡®08. ESL Summer School is designed specifically for students looking for additional English as a Second Language (ESL) support.  The classes will run from July 7 until July 25, beginning at 9 a.m. and ending at 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Lunch will be served and busing to and from Ningbo for students taking the course will be made available.

 

The studies will use a thematic approach centering on the Olympics in Beijing.  We will cover the history of the Olympics, the sports involved, and specific information on the countries that are participating.  ESL Summer School will have a culminating event on the final day of class with our own Olympic Opening Ceremony.  Parents and friends will be encouraged to be our audience!

 

AIAN requires written confirmation that you would like your student(s) to attend and a nonrefundable deposit of 1000RMB per child attending.  Complete the following information sheet and return it with the deposit to Wendy Chang in the Business Office.  There is limited enrollment, so places are filled on a first come basis.

 

1.        Tuition: RMB 4,500 for the full 15 days

2.        Lunch: RMB 225 ( RMB 15 per day per student for 15 days)

3.        Bus (optional) : RMB 750 ( RMB 50 per day per student for 15 days for Ningbo round trip, bus stop at Carrefour)

 

AIAN students have the first opportunity to register and pay for summer school.  If there are remaining spots open in the classes, then the invitation to participate will be extended to the community around school at the same tuition.  The course work is a full three weeks and participants are expected to attend for the duration of the program.  One week or two week participation in the course will not be considered at this time to give way to those students who do wish to participate for the full 3 weeks.

 

AIAN must receive 18 fully paid tuitions to run the ESL Summer School program.

 

We are very excited about the AIAN ESL Summer School and look forward to encouraging your student in the ongoing process of learning English.  We envision the three weeks being full days utilizing a variety of methodology to reinforce their current knowledge, as well as expand their language horizon.
