The Parent Teacher Association at the AIAN (AIAN-PTA) is a non profit-making organization, a great way to meet other parents, to make connections, and to get involved in the life of the school. Every AIAN family is automatically a member of the PTA. The PTA Executive Board members will coordinate and help parents to support school events.

 

The AIAN-PTA meets every six weeks. Teachers and parents are welcome to attend the meeting.

 

Currently, the association is running on a Non Subscription Basis. Functioning relies on funds raised from various activities, Pop Corn Sales and Bake Sales, and partly from Holiday Bazaar.

 

Extra money raised will be used to purchase those exceptional items that fall outside the normal scope of school funding and activities. The PTA Executive Board will consider suggestions from parents, teaching staff and students for those "extra" items that can further enhance the facilities available to our children. A vote will be taken on which of these projects the PTA will support.

 

Language Group Representatives has been organized to help new AIAN parents to contact school and share information about life in Ningbo. There are parent representatives covering 10 different languages in all: Chinese, English/American, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Russian, Taiwanese.

 

Class Parents will be organized separately by a volunteer parent for planning class events.

 

Our AIAN-PTA has many opportunities for parent volunteers who want to get involved, and as a parent, you can commit as much or as little of your time as you like. Notes will be sent out all year long.
